Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s Thedas is a land harboring dragons, mages, and demons. As you explore these lands and make your way to Dock Town, you come across horribly mutilated bodies, the victims seemingly murdered in a ritual involving demons.
This kicks off the ‘In Memoriam’ quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a Sherlock Holmes-esque mystery adventure, taking Rook and crew across Dock Town in search of the identity of the victims. The ‘In Memoriam’ quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard requires you to investigate these demonic murders.

How To Start in Memoriam
To start the ‘In Memoriam’ quest, make your way to the victim’s body in Razikale Walk, marked by an exclamation mark east of Ferryman Row. The body lies within a ritual circle. Interact with the body, and demons will spawn around you, forcing you to slay them.
After you defeat the demons, a spirit will appear near the body. This is the spirit of Compassion. The spirit wonders about the names of the victims and fails to deduce any connection between the victims and the ritual. It asks for your help in finding answers and requests you to find the name of the victim. The ‘In Memoriam’ quest is then added to your log.
How to Complete In Memoriam
The First Victim
From the body, head down the path ahead toward the north and follow the trail. Take the first staircase on the left and enter the hut. You will find a note here, signed by a gardener named Hortensia. The first victim, therefore, is Hortensia. Compassion will reappear, claiming there are more victims and asking you to find them.
The Second Victim
Head back out of the hut, go down the staircase, and take the flight of stairs in front of you. Open the gate ahead to enter the Temple of Andraste. Head east, through the temple courtyard, and into Andraste’s Watch to find the second body. Interacting with the body will spawn demons, so be prepared. Fend off the demons and interact with the body.
Next, follow the blood trails on the floor, leading you to a desk with a note on it. This note will reveal the victim’s name to be Marcus.
The Third Victim
Now, head south from the Temple of Andraste towards Spare Coin Way. Take the ladder leading to the lower floor to reach Urthemiel Venue and find the final body. Interact with the body, slay the demons, and talk to Compassion.
Follow the blood trail and climb the ladder at the end of the trail. A note above reveals the victim’s name to be Evander. Talk to Compassion to complete the ‘In Memoriam’ quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
