8) Mereoleona Vermillion
Mereoleona is the embodiment of fiery determination and unrelenting strength. She is powerful and fearsome, with a short temper to match her powers. Similar to Fuegoleon, Mereoleona is adept at Fire Magic, having complete control and manipulative capability over it.
She can reinforce herself with fire. Mereoleona can comfortably bathe in lava. Additionally, by using Mana Zone, she can control all mana in her surroundings and dominate the battlefield.
What sets Mereoleona apart from her siblings is her continuous pursuit of strength. She cares very little about procedure but commands respect from all others. This was best seen during her charge against the Elf invasion. Hence, despite not having Fuegoleon’s Salamander, she is one of the strongest figures in Black Clover.

Being an extraordinary wielder of Water Magic, Noelle can use skills such as the Valkyrie Armor to excel in attack and defense. She is one of the few characters in the series who can reach the Saint Stage with the spirit Undine.
Even in the face of overwhelming odds, Noelle rose to the occasion and evolved. This was shown in her battle with Vanica Zogratis, one where she kept surpassing her limits to defeat the Dark Triad member.

Black Clover anime fans might be surprised to see Lily on this list, considering she was the compassionate nun who took care of Asta and Yuno’s orphanage. However, after the reveal of Lucius Zogratis, Lily is turned into a fearsome Paladin who hosts Beelzebub.
Lily was originally able to use Water and Healing Magic to protect the kids of the orphanage and take care of injuries. After her tragic transformation, she gets access to the rare Spatial Magic. Through this, Lily can control spatial cubes and all the mana within them.
With her dual mana attribute and power of one of the strongest devils, Lily Aquaria is undoubtedly one of the strongest in the series currently.
5) Licht
As the leader of the Elves and wielder of a four-leaf grimoire, Licht is a figure of immense power in Black Clover. He is among the most talented swordsmen and can use Sword Magic to dominate opponents. With his Union Magic, he can also combine complex types of magic with his swords to make them more destructive.
Following the death of his allies, Licht’s grimoire turned into a five-leaf clover which could draw power from the underworld. He displayed great prowess over the swords from this book, effortlessly using Asta’s Demon-Dweller Sword.
In the final battle against Zagred, Licht played a crucial part in defeating the devil. He is very influential on Asta’s development as well as Yuno’s—who is a vessel for Licht and Tetia’s reincarnated child. This makes him a very important figure in the series.

His partnership with Sylph helps him unlock the Saint Stage, where he can use destructive moves such as the Spirit Dive, Spirit of Zephyr and many more. As we discover later in the manga, Yuno’s wind grimoire was a result of him being the vessel for Licht and Tetia’s son. His second grimoire is his own, giving him access to Star Magic.
With this, he can transport between stars, generate powerful barriers and shoot out beams of light. Yuno’s composure, quick-thinking and prodigious control over magic makes him one of the most skilled magic users in the series.
2) Asta
Yuno’s brother, Asta, is a man who unashamedly keeps announcing his wish to be the Wizard King. While people would initially scoff at it due to Asta’s lack of magic, he has rapidly grown in strength in the series. This is mainly due to Asta’s five-leaf grimoire.
With this, the protagonist can use Anti-Magic, an ability that nullifies all sorts of supernatural powers. He mainly uses swords to display it, often letting out slashes of Anti-Magic at his opponent. Asta’s “Unite” form with Liebe shares power between the two while greatly enhancing his abilities.
