How to Get Unstable Blood in Baldur’s Gate 3

To get the Unstable Blood permanent bonus in Baldur’s Gate 3, give Araj Oblodra a sample of your build in Act 2 within the Moonrise Towers. In Act 3, you meet her again in the Lower City and must drink the mysterious potion she offers you from the experiment with your blood. Donating her blood in Act 2 and drinking the mysterious potion grants you Unstable Blood permanently. With the Unstable Blood permanent bonus, when your character normally generates a Blood Surface around them, they create an Unstable Blood Surface instead. This becomes a Fire Surface when it takes fire damage. You can then light the area on fire for extra damage to anyone in the area.

Consume this potion, which results in your blood permanently being unstable. This allows your blood to be flammable, and you spill blood when being hit in combat. It’s helpful for area-based damage, assuming you’re not in the area. Additionally, she will provide Sanguine Explosives if you agree to donate blood again. If you refuse, she can become hostile. Agree, acquire the items, and unlock her as a permanent trader which will now sell Sanguine Explosives every long rest.
