Proficiency is what your character is good at and what knowledge they possess. This background’s default proficiencies are Athletics, History, Insight, Perception, and Survival. Your Outlander proficiency features are Athletic and Survival.
Athletic is a Strength skill that will help you with the following checks:

- Jumping higher and long distances.
