Dune Awakening is much more than a survival MMO with base management mechanics. Instead, it mixes those elements with a deep storyline and a wide range of quests. You can take on and complete main story quests to uncover the various mysteries of Arrakis.
Black Market Tech is one of these main story missions you’ll come across after making a fair bit of progress through the game. In this guide, we’ll explore how you can begin and finish the Black Market Tech quest in Dune Awakening.
How To Start the Black Market Tech Quest in Dune Awakening
You will have to make significant progress in the game’s main story missions before you can get to this particular quest. Specifically, you must complete the Find the Fremen quests, which see you delving into eight Trials of Aql.
After this questline ends, you will begin with the Assassin’s Handbook quest chain. This quest begins with the Black Market Tech quest. In it, Ari will ask you to find a special decryption device, which is only available to black market traders. So, you’ll have to travel to Harko Village in search of one such trader.

How To Complete the Black Market Tech Quest in Dune Awakening
Reach Harko Village first. You have two options to get there. You can book a ride on an Ornithopter by paying the Pilot 2500 Solaris at any of the major tradeposts in the game. Alternatively, if you have your own Ornithopter, go south from Hagga Basin to the edge of the map to access the World Map. From there, fly to Harko Village and click Enter. After a brief cutscene, you will be able to walk around in the hub area.
Proceed through Harko Village until you reach the central area. After reaching this place, another cutscene will trigger before you talk to Zantara. Then, you will need to meet and speak with Count Fenring’s representative, Elara Tuek. She will ask you to complete a few assassinations on behalf of the Count in exchange for the tech Ari wants.
This effectively ends the Black Market Tech quest and sets into motion the following missions in the Assassin’s Handbook questline. Completing Black Market Tech will give you a 100 XP reward.
