In this guide, we shall go over how to light and use the dynamite in the Trading Post area of Blue Prince.
You’ll find tons of items as you scour through the rooms in Blue Prince. Each of these items is important and helps you get closer and closer to the ever-elusive Room 46. When you find these items, you can more or less immediately identify their use, but the dynamite is one item that had us scratching our heads.
Yes, you find a dynamite in Blue Prince. This item clearly has some use, as do all other items that you find, but you probably won’t be able to guess how to use it. The thought of blowing up any room in the gorgeous Mt. Holly Estate feels like a senseless crime, but that is exactly how you use this item. The process of doing so, however, is a little complicated.

You find the dynamite inside the Trading Post area of the game. This is an Outer Room that you find after opening the West Gate on the Manor Grounds and unlocking the West Gate Path. As you enter and explore the Trading Post, you’ll find the dynamite atop a set of barrels by the wall. Try to use it, and you won’t be able to, with Simon dismissing the item as “too dangerous.”
Still, the item must serve a purpose. It has a fuse ripe for lighting, but you don’t have any tool for it. To light the fuse and use the dynamite, you’ll need the Burning Glass. Draft and head over to the Workshop. Here, you have to combine the Looking Glass and the Metal Detector to create the Burning Glass.
With the Burning Glass in hand, return to the Trading Post. Head over to the dynamite and light the fuse with the Burning Glass. The dynamite will then detonate, destroying a portion of the room and the wall. Go through the broken wall to discover a secret passage. Pass through this route to find forty gold coins, an Upgrade Disk, a note, and some Still Water at the end.
