As you encounter more and more security doors, the lack of a keycard can quickly shatter your momentum and ruin your day’s progress. The game’s RNG mechanism throws security doors towards you at crucial moments, like when you approach the Antechamber or the Foundation, blocking your path and leaving you at a dead end. But did you know there is actually a way to unlock security doors without needing a keycard? Yes, you can open Security Doors without a Keycard in Blue Prince, and here is how it works.

How to Open Security Doors Without a Keycard in Blue Prince

To bypass security doors, you will need to draft two rooms in your layout—Security and Utility Closet. These rooms allow you to get past security doors even if you don’t have a keycard in your inventory. Understanding the functions of these rooms can give you an idea. Here’s how they work:

Step 1: Set Offline Mode to Unlocked in Security

Start by heading to the Security room. Interact with the terminal to bring up the various options. Go to Keycard System > Keycard System Settings > Change Offline Mode. Set the Offline Mode option to Unlocked. This will keep the security doors unlocked and open when the security system is powered off. 

Additionally, you can set the security level to High to spawn more Security Doors during your current run. This provides you with more opportunities to take advantage of this trick. 

Step 2: Turn Off the Keycard Entry System in the Utility Closet

After tweaking the Keycard System settings in the Security, head to the Utility Closet. Open the panel, and locate the Keycard Entry System option at the top. Toggle it off. This shuts off the power to the Keycard security system throughout the estate, which is exactly what you need. 

Once you have adjusted the settings in both Security and Utility Closet, all Security Doors will remain unlocked. Simply interact with the Security Doors to access the drafting pool—no keycard required!.
