After an acclaimed closed beta, FragPunk is now making its way to all platforms, globally releasing on March 6, 2025. The game has garnered a lot of hype as it blends a lot of elements from Call of Duty and Valorant. In addition, FragPunk introduces Shard Cards, which are modifiers in place that change the gameplay entirely.

There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to FragPunk, and PC players will be getting their hands on the game to see what the hype is all about on March 6, 2025. The game will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X later on. The game was originally scheduled to release on consoles on the same day but was then delayed due to technical challenges the console versions were facing.

Noting the game’s intent to release on console, many players are now wondering if FragPunk on PC could be played on a controller. To answer that: Yes, FragPunk on PC can be played with a controller and offers full controller support, as stated on Steam.

As stated above, FragPunk can be played on a controller and has full controller support on PC. This makes sense, too, as the game will be coming to consoles later down the line. FragPunk features extensive support for the controller too, boasting a variety of settings that you can tweak to adjust your experience as you see fit. These settings include adjusting the key binds, sensitivity, stick deadzones, vibrations, and so much more.

With so many settings to adjust, we recommend messing around and seeing what suits you. Take note, however, that the game does not feature any aim assist settings for the controller. You’ll have to go toe-to-toe with keyboard-and-mouse players on a controller with zero assist. Hence, we don’t recommend using this for the competitive modes against other players.

If you’re struggling using the controller against keyboard-and-mouse players, we recommend heading over to the “Training Base,” or the “Practice vs AI” modes to hone your skills with the controller and familiarize yourself with the controls of the game.
