Here is a guide on how you can build a bridge in Death Stranding 2 and the materials needed to construct one in the game.

Crossing a river in Death Stranding 2 can be a daunting task and can sometimes require you to build a bridge. You can typically use a vehicle. However, forcing a vehicle to cross without a suitable platform would require a hefty amount of precious batteries.
Here, building a bridge in Death Stranding 2 is way better to ease up the travel. However, not everyone may be familiar with how to do it, especially new players. Here is a guide on how to build a bridge in the game.
How To Build Bridges in Death Stranding 2

How To Unlock Bridge
To unlock the ability to create bridges in Death Stranding 2, you first need to unlock the PCC. This feature is available after completing Order 3. If you have this feature available, craft a PCC Lv1 by interacting with Terminals in Distribution Centers.
Before setting out, you can either pack your PCC in your backpack or attach it directly to your body. Alternatively, you can place it in your vehicle and grab it when needed. Nonetheless, never forget your PCC as you won’t know when you need it.
However, you don’t get to unlock the option to make bridges after getting a PCC. You first need to complete Order 5 to build bridges to cross rivers.
Build a Bridge
Once you can build bridges in Death Stranding 2, you will be able to open your PCC and scroll through the list of options. You should find an option to build a bridge structure. Before placing it, make sure it’s in the right spot by using L1 on your controller.
After you are all set up, press R2 to start building your bridge’s foundation. Once it’s placed, you need to finish it by using the required materials. The amount of materials needed will depend on the size or length of the bridge.
Here is a quick rundown of the materials needed to make a bridge:
- 30m Bridge: 600 Metals
- 45m Bridge: 800 Metals
You don’t have to finish the bridge if you don’t have the materials needed. You can still cross without issue. However, it can degrade fast and you might not be able to use it in the future. Alternatively, if you have a friend or someone else online stumbles upon your unfinished structure, they have the option to finish it by offering their own materials.
