You do not have to earn the weapon in the playlist before you can focus it.
What Is the Anonymous Autumn God Roll in Destiny 2?
A god roll is the best combination of perks and masterwork that a weapon can get. God rolls are often sought after as they are considered the ultimate drop of that weapon and the most effective roll used in most content. In most situations, there are two god rolls for any gun, a roll for PvE and one for PvP. As a playlist weapon, the Anonymous Autumn has several great rolls, especially for PvP. It also has some decent PvE options, but sidearms tend to be passed over for other weapon types in PvE.
PvE Anonymous Autumn God Roll
The best perks for the Anonymous Autumn PvE God Roll are Hammer-forged Rifling, Appended Mag, Eddy Current, and Voltshot. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Anonymous Autumn PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Hammer-forged Rifling
- Magazine: Appended Mag
- Column 3 Trait: Eddy Current
- Column 4 Trait: Voltshot
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Origin Trait: Field-Tested
- Weapon Mod: Heavy Ammo Finder Enhancement
PvE Breakdown
Sidearms like the Anonymous Autumn aren’t your typical choice for PvE activities. They deal a lot of damage but are extremely limited by their short range. Since most high-level PvE content does require some amount of ranged play at least some of the time, this hinders a sidearm’s effectiveness in most activities. If you are deadset on using a sidearm in PvE though, there are still some decent rolls on this sidearm. Since its main hindrance will be its range, Hammer-forged Rifling will help mitigate some of that. Appended Mag and a Reload Speed masterwork will also help with its somewhat smaller magazine size.
There are a few decent options for damage-dealing improvement in Column 4, so taking perks like Rampage, Swashbuckler, or Kill Clip are all great options. For our god roll we went with a basic but effective arc synergy. Eddy Current improves the stats of the weapon for sprinting or being amplified. Voltshot is an easy choice on any arc weapon for its add clearing potential. This arc synergy is the best option for the sidearm in PvE but no that only effective one.
Other PvE Rolls of Note
- Demolitionist / Adrenaline Junkie
- A great grenade synergy option
PvP Anonymous Autumn God Roll
The best perks for the Anonymous Autumn PvP God Roll are Hammer-forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Lone Wolf, and Swashbuckler. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Anonymous Autumn PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Hammer-forged Rifling
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Column 3 Trait: Lone Wolf
- Column 4 Trait: Swashbuckler
- Masterwork: Range
- Origin Trait: Field-Tested
- Weapon Mod: Ballistics
PvP Breakdown
Sidearms are much more effective in PvP than they are in PvE. They have a very low Time-To-Kill even at base. That being said, they are a risky weapon choice requiring close range to be effective. Since its range leaves a lot to be desired, Hammer-forged Rifling and Ricochet Rounds will help that significantly. You can improve that even further by getting a Range masterwork and using a Ballistics mod.
There are so many great options for PvP in Columns 3 and 4. We went with Lone Wolf for Column 3 for its great bonuses, but don’t overlook perks like Closing Time, Discord, or even Zen Moment. Any of these perks can improve the weapon stats by quite a bit. Column 4 is absolutely stacked with TTK-improving perks like Kill Clip, Adrenaline Junkie, and Rampage. Because sidearms are typically used at close range, Swashbuckler will be the easiest of these to activate. Really any of these perks will work though so if you get one with any of them, give it a shot.
Other PvP Rolls of Note
- Closing Time / Rampage
- A direct alternative to the standard god roll
- Zen Moment / Kill Clip
- Another direct alternative
