As expected, the demons would rather die than have you do that — and that is the exact fate they meet. There’s a lot of bloodshed and violence in this chapter, but those opting to explore the beautifully crafted level have plenty of secret areas to indulge in.
The Ancestral Forge has 9 secret areas for you to uncover. Some of these areas require you to platform about the levels with precision, while others are simply tucked away in blind spots. | Secret Area | Where to Find |
| Secret Area 1 | You will pass through a cave on your way to the second Ancestral Heart. Keep your eyes peeled to the left for a barrier. Break through to find a purple key, and then drop down to unlock the purple gate ahead. You will find a secret area with Gold past this gate. |
| Secret Area 2 | As you go past the Shrine to the second Ancestral Heart, you will find a purple gate to your left. Unlock and enter to find a secret area with a Wolf Statue. |
| Secret Area 3 | Proceed towards the Ancestral Heart. You will stumble across a massive gate with a crane-like structure on its roof. Grapple up to discover a secret area with Gold. |
| Secret Area 4 | Pass through the gate and drop down the first ledge you see on your right. Follow this path to find a secret area with Gold. |
| Secret Area 5 | Right before the switch that activates the Ancestral Forge, follow the path down the right. Head through the purple gate and platform across the path ahead to reach a secret area. You will find a Vagary Toy and Ruby here. |
| Secret Area 6 | As you follow the marker, you will head down an elevator leading to the Ancestral Forge. Kill the hordes across the next two rooms. In the second room, you will find a barrier. Break through and shoot the chain on your left. This will unlock a gate leading to the secret area with a Ruby. |
| Secret Area 7 | Right before the switch that activates the Ancestral Forge, follow the path down the right. Head through the purple gate and platform across the path ahead to reach a secret area. You will find a Vagary Toy and Ruby here. |
| Secret Area 8 | Collect the Gold and jump straight down to the lowest platform. Follow this path, and climb up the wall at the end. Instead of going right, drop down ahead to discover a secret area with some Gold. |
| Secret Area 9 | Head back to the upper platform and look towards the roof. Shoot the chain above to lower a platform and parkour across to reach it. Use the grapple path ahead of you to reach a Codex page and a secret area with a weapon skin. |
