Dragon Age: The Veilguard is Bioware’s very first foray into the current-gen systems. The Veilguard is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC. On PC, the game is available via Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App, and also the Xbox App. The pre-loads for Xbox Series X|S are already live. As for PS5, the pre-loads are going live on October 29, 2024. There will be no pre-loads for PC players.

According to Bioware, since Dragon Age: The Veilguard is releasing without any DRM (similar to Denuvo) on PC, players won’t be able to pre-download the game ahead of its release. Instead, PC players will be able to download and play the game right on its official release date.

What to expect from Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the fourth entry into the highly popular Dragon Age series from BioWare. Furthermore, it is a direct sequel to Dragon Age: Inquisition, which release a decade ago. Fans can expect to see many familiar face, as beloved former companions and characters return to help the hero face new threats.

However, The Veilguard also represents a shift in art style from the previous games, all of which were generally more based in realism. The new art style has been described as more like a cartoon, with smoother features and exaggerated proportions on characters. Furthermore, the game will be more liner, without so much of the open world exploration that kept players searching in Inquisition.

No matter the visuals of the game, fans are hoping that the core of the series remains in tact. Compelling companions, relationships and rivalries, and an engaging story is what many players are hoping to experience.
