Following the announcement, the latest update for Minecraft, version 1.21.5, has at long last been made available. The announcement of a large number of new features included the addition of certain fresh updates for the farm mobs.
You don’t have to peek back over your shoulder every other minute for farm mobs because they are friendly. Farm mobs are the type of mobs that you encounter. Let’s take a look at everything that the latest version of Minecraft has to offer for chicken mobs.
What Are Chicken Mobs in Minecraft
Chickens may just be one of the most useful farm mobs in the game. Not only are they a harmless type of mob, but they are also the most resourceful. When killed, chickens drop raw chicken as well as feathers for us to pick up.
While the raw chicken can be used as a source of food when cooked, the feathers can be used for a variety of craftable items, namely books, quills, and arrows. All of these are important materials to craft as you progress further into the game. Chickens also lay eggs, which can either be hatched into more chickens or used as ingredients for different dishes like cake and pumpkin pie.
With the new variants, each chicken drops a different shade of egg in correspondence to the type of chicken they are. The warm chicken drops a brown egg, the temperate chicken drops a white egg, and the cold chicken drops a blue egg.
What Are the New Updates for the Chicken
With this update, there will be two new variants alongside the already present chicken. The three are, namely, warm chicken, temperate chicken, and cold chicken. Let’s take a closer look at the new chickens and where they are found.
