The latest version of Minecraft, 1.21.5, has finally been released after much anticipation. Numerous new features, including some changes for the farm mobs, were revealed. Let’s examine all that the latest version of Minecraft has to offer pig mobs for this post.

What Are Pig Mobs in Minecraft?

Pigs are one of the friendliest mobs in the game. Unlike cows and chickens, pigs don’t have any additional resources to give, like milk or eggs. They are, however, useful in other ways. Travelling around the world could sometimes feel tiring and slow, which is why you have horses to speed things up.

Now, the real question arises when you don’t have any horses lying around. You can use a pig. Yes, you heard me right. You can saddle up the pig and venture out into the sunset together.

Pigs, when killed, drop raw pork porkchops, proving to be crucial food items filling a large chunk of your health when cooked and eaten. The fun part about pigs is that if struck by lightning, they can turn into a zombified pigling. If you do want to do this, make sure to remove your game from the peaceful mode, as enemy mobs don’t spawn in that mode.

What Are the New Updates for the Pigs?

Now, let’s talk about the new color variants for the pig mobs. The three new mobs include the warm pig with a nice brown leather look to it. The second one is the original cute, pink-colored temperate pig, and the third one is the cold pig with a nice light brown shade on it. Below are the locations where you can find each pig.
