The Travelers’ Tales Anthology event in Genshin Impact introduces character anecdotes. Learn about their collection and rewards.
The Travelers’ Tales Anthology event in Genshin Impact 5.4 expands upon the in-game lore with personal anecdotes of 19 playable characters whom you can encounter out on the map. However, the characters spawn at random, and you can only listen to five anecdotes daily. To participate in the event, you must be Adventure Rank 28 and should have completed the Archon Quest Chapter 1: Act 3 – A New Star Approaches.
Collecting Anecdotes
Some of the nineteen characters that spawn during the event have multiple anecdotes that they narrate to you. Five of them will spawn per day at random and can thankfully be seen on the map with their icon and a speech bubble. The daily limit for anecdote collection increases for each day that you have missed the event. The characters generally talk about their daily lives and past, adding a little more background and depth to them. To get more context for the anecdotes, it is recommended that you complete the following quests:
- Kokomi Story Quest Dracaena Somnolenta Act 1- Warriors’ Dreams Like Spring Grass Renewing
- Xianyun Story Quest Serena Chapter Act 1 – A Thousand Moonlit Miles
- Inazuma Archon Quest Chapter 2: Act III – Omnipresence Over Mortals
- Liyue Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act I – The Crane Returns on the Wind
Some characters can have as many as five anecdotes, while others have just one. After you collect all of a character’s anecdotes, that character will not spawn again, allowing you to gather the remaining anecdotes more easily.
The characters that have collectable anecdotes are:
- Amber
- Diluc
- Diona
- Fischl
- Kazuha
- Keqing
- Kokomi
- Ningguang
- Noelle
- Qiqi
- Rosaria
- Shenhe
- Sucrose
- Xiangling
- Xianyun
- Xingqiu
- Yaoyao
- Yunjin
- Zhongli
Among them, Diluc, Keqing, Ningguang, Qiqi, Shenhe, Sucrose, and Xiangling are known to have only one anecdote, while the others have multiple.
Travelers’ Tales Anthology Chapter Event Rewards
For every five anecdotes that you collect, you will be rewarded 30 Primogems, 3 Hero’s Wit, 3 Sanctifying Unctions, and 30,000 Mora. The maximum number of anecdotes that you can collect for rewards is 20, at which point, you will be richer by 120 Primogems, 120,000 Mora, 12 Hero’s Wit, and 12 Sanctifying Unction.
After talking to the characters, you can revisit your conversations in the Anecdote Chronicles, which keeps a record of all your collected anecdotes.
