Baldur’s Gate 3 has players trudging through the Forgotten Lands and earning loot and rewards as they complete quests and explore the world. The Devilfoil Masks are mysterious masks that players can find across the map. Ominous in both appearance and name, the masks provide a boost to strength by 1 point. While this may seem appealing, the mask does so by deducting points from Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. Instead, the real use for these masks is revealed after giving them to Dammon, who can craft items out of them.

In this guide, we shall go over how you can get the Devilfoil Masks in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Devilfoil Masks Locations

All of the Devilfoil Masks in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be found in the Grymforge in the Underdark. Head to coordinates (X: 647, Y: 378) and go up the flight of stairs located to the south. Go up the stairs and take two successive rights and follow the path ahead till you reach another staircase. Go up these stairs and take a left, and you will reach Herdmaster Skarjall. Interact with the Herdmaster, who will ask you to whip two Deep Rothe for not working efficiently. Talk to the poor beasts and convince them to turn on their masters, or take the matter into your own hands and deal with them. Destroy the rubble ahead to find the first mask.

Follow the path ahead and go up the staircase into the tower and take the way on the right at the top. Go straight across the catwalk and drop down the ladder on the left. Send one character onto the platform ahead, and use another to pull the levers to maneuver the platform. Ahead of you lies a double door. Lockpick the door and follow the path ahead to the wooden double doors. Destroy the doors and enter the chamber.

Defeat the Merregon Legionnaire to get the second Devilfoil Mask. The third Mask is on the altar ahead. For the fourth mask, go back to where we started at (X: -647, Y: 378). Take the flight of stairs ahead but go left this time. Follow the path straight till you reach (X:-617; Y:326). The last mask will be on a table.

How To Use the Devilfoil Masks

You can wear the Devilfoil Masks to gain a +1 strength boost. This is useful if going for a strength build, but make note that this comes at the cost of a -1 to Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma.

You can also take the Masks to Dammon in Act 2. Talk to him and tell him about the masks. He will take the masks and use them to craft the Orthon Explosive. These explosives deal 3~18 damage and deal Fire and Thunder damage.
