Whether you’re looking to upgrade powerful gear or complete high-level alchemy recipes, this frosty resource is essential. But locating and harvesting Enshrouded Ice isn’t straightforward. In this guide, we’ll cover where to find Enshrouded Ice, how to get it, and what it is used for.
How to Get Enshrouded Ice in Enshrouded
You can get Enshrouded Ice in Enshrouded by cutting them down from ice stalks found in the Shroud areas in the Albaneve Summits region. Keep in mind that this is not regular Ice that you can mine with pickaxe from the sides of mountains. Enshrouded Ice is a special resource that is catagorized differently.
Furthermore, to access the Albaneve Summits region, you will need to Strengthen your Flame Altar to Level 6. If you have already found and reached the top of the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire, then you can easily use the fast travel point to return. Next, head to the southeast side of the spire and jump off to glide in that direction towards the edge of the Shroud.
Additionally, you will need an Axe to mine Enshrouded Ice here. The better quality axe you have, the faster you will be able to gather materials. You can also use Skill Points to unlock an ability called Lumberjack (2 points). With this skill active, your axe will deal 30% more damage against wooden objects including trees.
What is Enshrouded Ice, and what is it used for?
In Enshrouded you’ll use Enshrouded Ice to create pieces from advanced gear sets, as well as advanced crafting matierals. Perhaps the most useful item you can create with Enshrouded Ice is Shroud Vapor. This item is necessary for a wide array of other crafting materials, color palettes, and consumables. Furthermore, Shroud Vapor will become available to craft in the Alchemist’s Laboratory after you loot your first piece of Enshrouded Ice.
To create Shroud Vapor at the Laboratory in Enshrouded You will need to combine:
- 8 Enshrouded Ice
- 13 Active Mycelium
- 21 Salt
Putting these materials together will only create one Shroud Vapor per minute, so you’ll need a lot of Enshrouded Ice to craft multiples.
Additionally, Enshrouded Ice is an important component of nearly all of the advanced sets that unlock with the Blacksmith after you reach the Albaneve Summits. This includes the Brazen Bull set, the Alpine Antler set, the Frostbite Slasher set, and the Hailcaster set, to name a few. Not every piece in the sets requires Enshrouded Ice, but typically you will need it for the chest, head, and pants pieces. Furthermore, you will need to collect a lot of Enshrouded Ice to create them, as in addition to all of the other ingredients, you must have 50 pieces of Enshrouded Ice for each individual gear piece.
Enshrouded Ice Location in Enshrouded
Enshrouded Ice is a crafting ingredient you can find only in the Shroud areas of the Albaneve Summits region. This area is accessible after you have upgraded your Flame Altar to Level 6. Furthermore, you will need a good axe to chop Enshrouded Ice from the stalks.
