Sinister Cloth is a rare crafting material you can obtain in Monster Hunter Wilds. This is a peculiar type of item that can be obtained through a few ways in the whole game. And even those methods require a hefty amount of luck and planning to succeed.
You use Sinister Cloth to craft the Death Stench Armor Set, which has a cool deathly look to it and is resistant to the Dragon element. Players might be confused about where to obtain this very rare resource; read this guide to find out.
Where Do You Obtain Sinister Cloth?
One of the methods through which you can obtain Sinister Cloth is by trading them with the Kilama villagers you can find in the Windward Plains. These villagers occasionally have Sinister Cloth they trade for another item. If you are lucky, then Gawdygog, the Wudwud from the Scarlet Forest, can have Sinister Cloth in his shop. However, he only accepts Ancient Wyvern Coins as a form of payment.
The village material gatherer, Murtabak, can also reward you with Sinister Cloth, albeit very rarely. Moreover, you obtain only one Sinister Cloth at a time, so this is not a great source to collect them.
Lastly, you can talk to Nata, who acts as an intermediary for all the villages, and easily check if anyone is selling what you need. If you do not see any Sinister Cloth, go to your tent and sleep to pass the time. This resets shop inventories so that you might find Sinister Cloth. However, if you want to obtain Sinister Cloth this way, they can only be traded for one specific item: Great Windward Aloe.

How To Find Great Windward Aloe?
Great Windward Aloe is a rare resource you can collect from Windward Plains. The chances to find it normally are quite low, but there is a way to boost those chances. You need to keep track of the forecast from the Environment Overview section. Keep an eye out for a Great Windward Aloe Emergence, which increases the spawn rate for this item.
You can rest to pass days or keep hunting monsters till the emergence begins. This can prepare you to instantly collect any Sinister Cloth available for trade once it becomes available.
