Making Terracotta in Minecraft

Terracotta is a block you can make yourself. To do so, all you need to do is smelt Clay in a Furnace. Clay can be found in abundance within Lush Caves. This biome spawns deep underground and can be easily recognized due to the high amount of vegetation. Clay usually spawns near water sources in chunks that you can dig up using a Shovel.
When you break Clay, you get four Clay Balls. You then have to use the four Clay Balls and turn them into Clay at a Crafting Table. Refer to the image above to see how you can do it. After getting Clay, smelt it in a Furnace to get normal Terracotta. You can then color it with dyes to get other varieties of Terracotta.

Natural Generating Terracotta in Minecraft

Terracotta can also naturally spawn in the world. The best place to find large quantities of Terracotta is the Badlands biome. You can find quite a few different types of Terracotta spawning in Badlands, but the basic variant is most abundant. You have to mine the naturally generated Terracotta using a Pickaxe.
The Mason Villager is also a great source of getting Terracotta for emeralds. However, you have to upgrade the Mason to expert level at first to have a chance at unlocking Terracotta. Many natural spawning generations can also have different colored Terracotta in them.
