However, there’s an unusual method to find your exact coordinates. Here’s a detailed guide on how you can find them in Minecraft and what directions the alphabets suggest.
Showing Coordinates in Minecraft
The norm of knowing your location in Minecraft is to use the compass. However, it doesn’t give you a pinpoint location of where you stand; you can use a map for that. Still, sometimes the map can show an inaccurate location, and you can take the wrong route while finding your home.
The game consists of numerous debugging and experimental tools you can use to maximize your efficiency. Similarly, you can use coordinates to see your current location, allowing you to mark it down in a notepad or wherever you would like.
To see your coordinates, you can press F3. While the whole debugging menu will be cluttered with unnecessary information, the thing you’re looking for is the X, Y, and Z numbers, which represent your location.
All three numbers represent different things. X shows the location on a longitude basis of the world’s origin point. You can move either east or west to see it decrease and increase. The Y alphabet depends on the height you’re standing. The higher you are, the Y-axis will increase, and if you go deep enough, the numbers will decrease to negative.
The Z-axis represents the north and south directions. Moving north will decrease the value, and in the south, the coordinate number will increase. Using them will give you a pinpoint, exact location of where you currently stand.
