Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has a vast and beautiful map based on New York City. The game features a larger map compared to the first title. Along with the familiar map of Manhattan in the first game, we can now also go to Brooklyn and Queens. With the addition of these new neighborhoods, the total size of the map is nearly doubled.

Fast Travel in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
When you open your map in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, you can see that the map is divided into various sections called districts. Each district has a specific number of side missions you can take on to increase the level of that specific district. On hitting District Level-2 in any district, you will unlock the fast travel for that respective map section. You can unlock more of the map as you progress through the story of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
On top of unlocking fast travel, you can also get various cool costumes and gadget upgrades by leveling up the districts. Moreover, you are rewarded with skill points and XP from the missions. Skillpoints are used to upgrade your skillset and unlock cool new ways to take on your enemies while traversing around the map in style. Some of the missions you can take on to increase the District Level in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are:
- Photo Op Missions: Capture photos of a specific subject.
- Collecting Prowler Stashes: Find hidden stashes left by Prowler.
- Collecting Spider Bots: Collect tiny collectibles in the form of tiny spider bots.
- Clearing Enemy Camps: Reclaim hostile areas with stealth or combat.
- Doing various side missions: Spider-Man 2 has a vast array of side missions that tell you more about the characters and story.

Using the Map To Fast Travel
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has one of the most seamless transitions from map to gameplay, thanks to the advanced and powerful hardware of PS5 Pro. Here’s how to fast travel using the map:
- Open the map, it will display your current location.
- Select a specific location where you want to go.
- Press and hold the Triangle button to confirm it, this will make you seamlessly swing into that location on the map.
