The seasonal events have kicked off in Monster Hunter Wilds with the Blossomdance. Much like in the previous couple of mainline Monster Hunter games, the seasonal events come with not only a unique decoration for the Grand Hub (Gathering Hub), but also a host of new rewards to unlock and earn. While a good chunk of the new Blossomdance-themed items can be earned simply by playing the game, some are locked behind paid DLCs. The aptly named Blossomdance DLC Pack comes with a plethora of cosmetic unlocks that you might find enticing. However, for its rather steep asking price, is the Blossomdance DLC Pack really worth it?

Furthermore, is there a way to get the contents of the DLC Pack via gameplay, without having to spend anything? Here’s everything you need to know about Monster Hunter Wilds’ Blossomdance DLC Pack, its contents, and more.

What Is Included in the Monster Hunter Wilds Blossomdance DLC Pack?

The Blossomdance DLC Pack is quite similar to the Cosmetic DLC Packs, albeit with a key difference – it’s themed around the seasonal event. The DLC Pack is priced at $15 and comes with an outfit for Alma, the Seikret, as well as a host of additional goodies. The outfit (for Alma) included in the bundle is the Spring Blossom Kimono, which you can try out for free during the Blossomdance event. The majestic Dragon’s Caparion outfit for the Seikret will also be available to try out for free later during the event quest. In addition to all this, the DLC Pack also includes exclusive Pendants, Gestures, and Stickers. Here’s a rundown of all the Blossomdance DLC Pack:

  • Alma Outfit: Spring Blossom Kimono
  • Seikret Decoration: Majestic Dragon’s Caparison
  • Pendant Set Vol. 4
  • Gesture Set Vol. 3
  • Sticker Set: Blossomdance

The Blossomdance DLC Pack comes with some really great cosmetics, especially for Alma and the Seikret. Unfortunately, it doesn’t include any Layered Armor for the Hunter, which in itself isn’t a bad thing, considering the Blossomdance event comes with a total of 4 new armor sets for players to unlock. However, considering the DLC Pack is priced at $15, not having a Layered Armor does make the bundle feel lacking. Furthermore, you can still use the exclusive cosmetics for Alma and the Seikret, albeit temporarily. As such, there’s no reason to fork out $15 for the DLC.

That being said, if you really enjoyed your time with Monster Hunter Wilds and title update 1 (TU1), getting the DLC Pack is a great way to show your support for the developers. While Capcom does charge for these cosmetic DLCs, the majority of their post-launch content is free. Getting the DLCs not only helps support Monster Hunter Wilds’ post-launch content, but also the weekly/monthly events, a la Blossomdance.

Can You Unlock the Contents of the Blossomdance DLC Pack Via Gameplay?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to get the items in the Blossomdance DLC Pack via gameplay. That said, some of the content of the Blossomdance DLC can be tried for free, albeit only for the duration of the seasonal event. However, once the Blossomdance seasonal event is over, you won’t be able to use said items without purchasing the DLC Pack.
