Here is a walkthrough guide for the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Adept Side Quest in the Legacy of the Forge DLC.
The first side quest you can take in the Legacy of the Forge expansion in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is titled Adept. It’s a good opener set in the ruins of Kuttenberg’s once-proud forge. The main gist is that you will be repairing the broken forge and proving you are worthy of joining the Blacksmith’s Guild.
It is recommended to have decent speech and forging skills to pass the guild trial part of the quest. With that said, here is a walkthrough guide on how you can complete the Adept quest in the Legacy of the Forge expansion in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

How To complete the Adept Side Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
To start the Adept side quest in the Legacy of the Forge DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you need to speak to Magddalena. Choose the dialogue where you show interest in fixing the broken forge and how you can be a blacksmith. She will then direct you to the guild, where they will give you the next task.
Find and Speak With Master Bushek
After speaking with Magdalena, a new quest marker will show up on your map. Follow this marker, and it will lead you to the building where you can find and talk to Master Bushek the Elder. To save you time, here are the right dialogue options you need to select:
- I’m interested in the burnt-down forge.
- How could I convince them?
- My father was the blacksmith Martin.
- I worked for Dadovan, the blacksmith.
- I’m ready for the trial.
Keep in mind that each attempt at the guild trial will require 200 Groschen. Additionally, you can purchase a blacksmithing handbook that can help you with the trial. It costs 100 Groschen. However, if you are following this Adept quest walkthrough, you won’t need this handbook.
If you are ready for the guild trial, wait until noon the next day, in-game time. Head back to Master Bushek, who will be waiting at the clock tower, and interact with him. If you don’t want to wait, you simply choose the dialogue “I’d like to wait for the trial.” This will skip the waiting and head straight to the next task.
The next thing you need to do is follow Master Bushek. If you don’t want to hold down a button for a long time, you can enable the auto-walk feature. While walking, he will start drilling you with questions about blacksmithing. You don’t have to answer them correctly. This won’t affect the mission in any way.

All Correct Answers for Guild Trial Questions in Adept Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
If you want to ace the questions that Master Bushek throws at you, here is a quick rundown of all the correct answers:
- What’s the final step before completing a piece? Answer: Quenching.
- How can you tell you have made progress on your workpiece? Answer: By the shape.
- What is the Farbe of an korrekt heated workpiece? Answer: Straw yellow.
While answering the questions, you will eventually research your destination. You can then proceed to the next task.
Forge a Guild Longsword
As the title suggests, you will need to forge a guild longsword. For this one, you will be given the necessary materials by Master Bushek. All you need to do now is head to the blacksmithing station. Interact with it to open the interface and select the Blacksmith’s guild longsword from the list.
You will have to follow the process of forging in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This includes heating up the base of the longsword and striking it on the right parts. Once you are done, you will receive a comment from Master Bushek and successfully join the guild. You can then place the sword on the wall. You then return to Magdalena for your next task.
Cleaning Up the Forge
Once you are a formal member of the guild, Magdalena will ask you to clean up the forge. Here is a list of the tasks given to you:
- Unlock the entrance to the forge from the street
- Open the gate to the yard
- Clean up the debris by the gate
- Collect the materials on the ground floor
- Clean up the rubble by the forge
- Get to the upper floor
- Clear up the rubble by the window
- Clear up the rubble on the upper floor
- Collect the materials on the upper floor
- Sweep the floor on the upper floor
- Sweep the floor on the ground floor
While there are a lot of tasks to do, they are also straightforward and don’t require too much effort. Once you are doing the final task of sweeping the ground floor, you will find an item called Old Machine Sketch. You will then need to head back to Magdalena for the final part of the Adept quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Use the Planning Desk (End)
Talking to Magdalena, you will know about the planning desk that’s in front of you. Interact with the desk and select the “No shop sign” option from the House Tab. Afterward, you need to buy the “Old Forge Shop Sign,” which is free and does not require money. Equip this sign and complete the repair process. Return to Magdalena and talk to her one more time, and the quest should be completed.
