The Sword and the Quill Mission is the 13th major quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, set during the early stages, and is entirely dialogue-based. The mission revolves around the abduction of Hans Copan by Lord Von Bergow and Henry attempting to track him down. Henry will travel to Suchdol to gather clues from Hynek, also known as Dry Devil.
The Beginning of The Sword and the Quill Mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
To start The Sword and the Quill Mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, follow Katherine and Zijka’s wagon on their journey to Suchdol. Along the way, you can engage in a conversation with them. To romance Katherine later on, it’s recommended that you remain extra flirty with her.
Upon reaching Suchdol, Lord Pisek will greet you and invite you to dinner. Follow him to the banquet hall, where you can chat with him while eating. Zizka and Katherine will explain what happened in Trosky, and you can choose to remain silent as they narrate the story. Lord Pisek will let you stay at his house for the night. After dinner, you can relax at the bathhouse before heading to bed.
The herbal bath will refresh you. Head upstairs and find your room to get some sleep.
Conversation with Zijka
Henry will be deep asleep when a maid wakes him up with breakfast. She informs him that Margrave Jobst is waiting for him. Head downstairs to find Zijka first.
You will find Katherine near the training center. Ask her about Zijka, and she will tell you where he is. You can find Zijka getting treatment for his wounds near the fireplace. Engage in a conversation with him, and you both will clarify your feelings towards Jobst. Zijka will tell you to meet Jobst, and he will join later.
Conversation with Jobst
Head to the banquet hall and find Margrave Jobst, King of Luxembourg. Inform him about Bergow’s betrayal and ask about the Dry Devil. He will also inquire about Zijka and his authority. Meanwhile, Zijka will join you both.
Jobst will ask Zijka about his events in Trosky. In the middle of the conversation, Zijka will burst over Jobst. Jobst will ask you to stay in Luxembourg, and you can end the dialogue by saying I am honored, but I can’t accept. A cutscene will trigger where you ride out of town with Zizka to search for the Dry Devil, and Katherine is heading to Kuttenberg to find out what happened to Liechtenstein.
