The Voivode’s Curse is one of the many side quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It is unlocked after you complete the Miri Fajta quest and once again involves the Romani nomads. This time, however, it is not the Voivode himself, but his wife, Aranka, who asks you for help.
After you complete Miri Fajta, Aranka will call you and ask for help. In particular, she is in need of Henry’s blacksmithing skills (Henry is the son of a blacksmith, after all). She will explain that she thinks the Voivode is cursed. In order to protect the Voivode from the curse, a special ceremonial blade is required, which must be bathed in the blood of an innocent.
She wants Henry to forge this ritual sabre and then use it to slay a dog. It is understandable if you find doing such a thing to be distasteful. But don’t worry, as there are multiple solutions to this problem.
How To Forge the Rikonaris’ Sabre
To forge the Rikonaris’ sabre, you will need:
- 1 x Charcoal Water
- 1 x Iron
- 1 x Deer Skin
- 1 x Copper
- 1 x Fastening Material
- 2 x Steel
Aranka will give you the list of materials needed for the sword. She will also provide you with the Charcoal Water herself. The rest of the materials, with the exception of Deer Skin, can be bought from the blacksmith Radovan in Tachov. The Deer Skin can be obtained by hunting or by purchasing it from one of the many traders or hunters who offer the item.
Once you have all of the materials you need, simply approach the anvil and start forging. It is recommended that you save before beginning the forging process just in case anything goes wrong. Finally, after you are done and the blade is forged, all that’s left is to bathe the sabre with an innocent’s blood.
How To Complete the Ceremony
To bathe the sabre with an innocent’s blood, you need to equip it and then use it to kill a dog. Fortunately, a dog is not the only means by which to obtain this blood. Killing a wolf also suffices for the purpose of the quest, as do rabid dogs. You can even lie about having killed a dog with the weapon.
Hand the sabre over to Aranka to complete the quest. As a reward, you will obtain 45 Groschen, a Nomad’s Hat with 3rd-grade quality. Additionally, Aranka will teach you some Lore, Alchemy, and Survival herself.
