Xu Wu Overview

How To Beat Xu Wu in Monster Hunter Wilds
When fighting Xu Wu, understanding and being able to counteract its different attacks is the key to success. You need to watch out for four diverse attacks. The first one is where the monster slams down its tentacle on the ground and then starts swinging it around along the ground. When this happens, quickly get behind the beast and unleash a flurry of attacks.
If Xu Wu jumps over you, you can be sure that it’s about to launch a number of sharp projectiles toward you. You have to dodge in the direction that Xu Wu jumps to avoid taking damage from the spikes.
Another terrifying attack is when Xu Wu swallows the hunter whole, which causes massive loss of health. As soon as you can see its mouth, target the red spot with your slinger’s frostpods. This is a weak spot that deals massive damage to the monster and stops it in its tracks.
Another attack where the monster exposes its mouth is when it just runs down the hunter. When this happens, you should get on your Seikret and flee to an area where the monster can’t see you.
