This world existed before you and will continue to exist long after you are gone. This is best represented through the game’s several factions, some of which are centuries old and engulfed in rivalries just as ancient.
Factions in Oblivion Remastered have their own history, identity, and moral code. Some are more merchant-esque, while others serve a greater cause. These factions exist not only to enrich the world, but also to introduce you to interesting new NPCs and quests. Each of these factions has its own terms for joining, so you can’t simply barge in and fill out a membership form.

All Factions in Oblivion Remastered

| Faction | How to Join |
| Arena | Speak to Owyn in the Bloodworks, and he will put you on a team. |
| Court of Madness | You join this faction as part of the Shivering Isles DLC. |
| Dark Brotherhood | The Brotherhood contacts you after you murder someone. Murder and then sleep, and you will wake up to Lucien Lachance by your side. Follow through with his quest to join. |
| Fighters Guild | Sign up at a Fighters Guild hall in Anvil, Chorrol, or Cheydinhal. |
| Knights of the Nine | You join this faction as part of the Knights of the Nine DLC. |
| Knights of the Thorn | Complete the Wayward Knight quest to join this faction. |
| Knights of the White Stallion | Eliminate the bandit orc Black Brugo and complete the Knights of the White Stallion. |
| Mages Guild | Speak to any of the seven guild hall leaders. |
| Mythic Dawn | You temporarily join this faction as part of the Dragon Shrine quest. |
| Nine Divines | You join this faction as part of the Knights of the Nine DLC. |
| Order of the Dragon | Finish the main story. |
| Order of the Virtuous Blood | Roland will make you an honorary member of the faction after completing the Order of the Virtuous Blood quest. |
| The Blades | Accept Jauffre’s offer at the Cloud Ruler Temple to join this faction. |
| Thieves’ Guild | The guild will contact you if you get imprisoned for theft. Follow through with the invitation to join the faction. |
