Learn how to do tricks in Roblox’s Tagtown hub. Master various skate tricks and impress your friends during The Takeover event.
The Takeover event is live in Roblox, and players can join the hub, dubbed Tagtown, as of September 12, 2025. While you wait for portals to the participating games to open, Roblox players are free to roam around the hub area using skateboards. The hub has different skateparks with many grindrails and halfpipes you can use to do tricks.
In this guide, we will explore all of the tricks you can do with your skate in the Tagtown area of The Takeover event.
Roblox Takeover Event: How To Do Tricks
While skating in Tagtown, players can do several tricks by pressing the jump and the specific trick button in quick succession. Before we get into how to do them, check out these controls:
- Skate: Press Q on PC to toggle skating.
- Jump: Press Spacebar on PC to jump.
- Tricks: Spacebar + [trick button] in quick succession.
All Skating Tricks in Roblox Takeover
Here is a list of all the tricks you can do while skating in the Roblox Takeover event:
- Kickflip: Spacebar+R
- 360 Shuvit: Spacebar+F
- Treeflip: Spacebar+V
While skating, if you press the Spacebar and release it, you will do a normal jump. This does count as a trick if done from a major height. However, to get consistent combos, you are better off doing the three tricks mentioned above. Also, getting on the grind rails scattered across the map counts towards a trick as well.
