The first thing you’ll need to empty the trash is black trash bags. You need to visit the Hardware Store in the game and buy the bags from the shopkeeper. When you have the bags in your inventory, equip one.
Next, approach one of the trash cans that are full. Facing the trash can with the bag equipped will give you the option to ‘bag trash’ by holding down the E button. Hold down the button until all of the trash goes inside the bag. You can then pick up the bag with the filled trash and dispose of it.

How To Dispose of the Trash From Trash Cans
Now that you know how to empty the trash in Schedule 1, you also need to understand the disposal process. To do this, simply pick up the full trash bag and carry it outside. Find one of the trash compactors that are strewn throughout the city. When you get to one, open it up by pressing E on your keyboard. Then, dump the trash bag that you were hauling inside and press E on the compactor to start processing the trash. Doing so will reward you with some cash.
You can also get the Litter Picker tool from the Hardware Store for just $50. With it, you can collect multiple items of trash at once and deposit them into the compactor for some quick cash. This extra money can be highly useful in the game, especially in the initial portions when you’re greatly strapped for cash.
