As stated above, Sweeping Edge is an enchantment that you can apply to your sword to increase its range and effect. The sword performs a sweeping attack if the attack recharge meter is more than 84.8% and the player is on the ground, either standing still or moving slower than sprinting speed in a straight line.
These enchanted swords can strike damage equivalent to 1 + Attack Damage × (Sweeping Edge Level / (Sweeping Edge Level + 1)), rounded to the nearest integer. For instance, damage done by an iron sword with only a Sweeping Edge Level 1 enchantment is 1 + 6 × (1 / (1 + 1)) = 4. However, Sweeping Edge does not work during a critical hit.
There are three total Sweeping Edge levels in Minecraft, each with a different increased damage. Here are the further details:

- Treasure Chests: There are chances that you will get these enchanted books as a reward from the treasure chests.
Once you obtain the enchanted book with Sweeping Edge, you can use an anvil to apply it to the sword.
