Everything you need to know about the Tang Palace Maid in Wuchang Fallen Feathers and how to easily defeat the boss.

Bosses are among the core parts of the experience in any souls-like RPG, and Wuchang Fallen Feathers is no different from this rule. Similar to other souls-likes, Wuchang features a plethora of challenging (yet fair) boss fights. While most of these bosses can be quite difficult, some of them are rather easy. One such “easy” early-game boss is the Tang Palace Maid. Although she’s a mandatory boss in the Worship’s Rise area, there’s no cutscene introducing the Tang Palace Maid.
Instead, the boss fight just starts as soon as you enter her domain. Thankfully, the Tang Palace Maid is a straightforward boss fight, with limited movesets. Here’s everything you need to know to easily defeat the Tang Palace Maid in Wuchang Fallen Feathers.
Where To Find the Tang Palace Maid in Wuchang Fallen Feathers?

The Tang Palace Maid is a recurring boss in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. Each time she presents herself as a roadblock, she comes equipped with a new Spell. However, apart from the new Spell, most of her moveset remains identical across all her appearances. The Tang Palace Maid’s very first appearance is near the Worship’s Rise. You essentially reach this area right after leaving the Reverent Temple. Her next appearance is near the Buddha Cliffs. However, past her first encounter, she is an optional boss.
The biggest challenge you will face while going up against the Tang Palace Maid is not the boss but the arena itself. Most of the encounters against the Tang Palace Maid take place in a closed-off area. This limits the available space for you to dodge away from the boss. Instead, you’re encouraged to stay close to the boss and use Wuchang’s counterattacks to avoid getting hit by the Tang Palace Maid.
Additionally, in her latter appearances, the Tang Palace Maid can use elemental Spells, which have the potential to one-shot players. Thankfully, avoiding the boss’s attacks is quite easy, and she doesn’t have much HP in any of her appearances.
How To Defeat the Tang Palace Maid

Here are some tips that should help you easily defeat the Tang Palace Maid:
- The Tang Palace Maid essentially has access to a 3-hit and a 5-hit combo, which she alternates between based on the player’s distance.
- If you try to stay far away from the boss, she will perform the 5-hit combo, which can deal a lot of damage and elemental build-up. However, this combo is quite easy to dodge and also parry (longsword only).
- Alternatively, if she uses her 3-hit combo, it usually ends with a grab. As such, you want to dodge this attack (Shimmer).
- In her latter appearances, the boss also weaves Spells in between her melee combos. However, you can stagger the Tang Palace Maid out of her Spellcasting animation with a charged attack.
- The best way to deal with the Tang Palace Maid is to use a fast weapon (ideally Dual Blades) to whittle down her HP before she can perform her bigger combos.
