Bone Needles in Wuchang Fallen Feathers are a buffing mechanic used to help boost your damage. Here’s how you can get more Bone Needles.

Bone Needles in Wuchang Fallen Feathers help increase your weapon’s potential with extra buffs and effects. There are a limited number of bone needles in the game that give you life steal or burn enemies with feathering.
All of them are obtainable by gathering enough Red Mercury, the game’s level up currency. Here’s how you can get more bone needles in Wuchang Fallen Feathers.
How To Get More Bone Needles in Wuchang Fallen Feathers

Defeating your first Boss in Wuchang Fallen Feathers rewards you with your first Bone Needle as well as your first temperance slot. However, you can only equip one Bone Needle in your Yanchi Acupoint and cannot upgrade it to contain more slots for the needles. Bone Needles are similar to the Soulsborne mechanic of coating your weapon. However, there are a few needles that evolve the mechanic and provide more buffs. Some Bone Needles may not be compatible with the weapon you hold at that moment, and switching weapons also ends the buff.
To acquire more Bone Needles in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, you have to upgrade the skill tree to your left in the Impetus Repository. You can obtain the skill points using Red Mercury. Red Mercury is Wuchang’s level-up currency that will upgrade your character. The Bone Needles are not found through exploration but by upgrading your skill tree. So, to get more of them, you simply need to farm Red Mercury. A good location for farming Red Mercury is the Avian Marsh area, an optional area in the game that also has an optional boss fight. The path to the Avian Marsh can be found at the refugee camp, below the white-robed elder’s location.
Types of Bone Needles
- Bone Needle Leech: Grant life steal on every hit; applies to any weapon.
- Bone Needle Magic: Buffs spell damage. One-handed swords are buffed from 100 to 110, and for any other weapon type, from 0 to 110. The Astral Sword has an affinity for this tempering, increasing the spell damage to 120.
- Bone Needle Poise Break, Frostbite, Blight, Corruption: This needle applies the corresponding status ailment (20) to enemies with your weapon. Affinity weapons have 20% increased status buildup (24).
- Bone Needle Arcane Feathering: Provides extra magic damage to your weapon. Scales with your weapon.
These Bone Needles can only be equipped one at a time, with no cost for interchanging them. To use the Bone Needles, you need to equip your tempering arm in your quick slot item and use it during battle. The tempering buff usually lasts for 60 seconds, but the Everlight Stone Needle can increase it to 90 seconds.
