Wuchang Fallen Feathers is heavily inspired by the classic FromSoftware Souls games, such as the original Dark Souls and even Demon’s Souls. The game does feature modern souls-like features like fast travel and a transmog system, which are available to the player right from the get-go. However, at the same time, it also keeps a lot of its core gameplay aspects under wraps, akin to the Dark Souls games. Even the healing charges and their respective upgrades are something you’re expected to stumble upon on your own, with the game not offering any hints on those systems.
However, similarly to the upgrades system in Dark Souls, upgrading the healing charges (Manna Vessels) is quite easy in Wuchang. Here’s everything you need to know about the Manna Vessel charges in Wuchang Fallen Feathers and how to upgrade them.
How To Increase the Manna Vessel Charges in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
To increase the Manna Vessel charges, i.e., healing flasks in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, you need to use the Impetus Repository. The Impetus Repository is essentially the game’s skill tree and is the main source of progression. The skill tree is divided into 6 parts; 5 of them are dedicated to each of the weapon types, and one of the trees is for miscellaneous attributes like Feathering and Manna Vessels. To unlock sections of the skill tree, you need to use Red Mercury. However, certain upgrades do require extra materials.
To increase your Manna Vessel capacity, you need Forgotten Remembrances in addition to Red Mercury. Forgotten Remembrances can be obtained by defeating bosses or elite enemies roaming the overworld map. Furthermore, some main story bosses also drop these resources as a reward in the latter half of the game.
With enough Red Mercury and Forgotten Remembrances, you can upgrade the Manna Vessels using the skill tree to the left in the Impetus Repository.
How To Upgrade Manna Vessels in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
Upgrading, i.e., increasing the effective healing of the Manna Vessels, follows the same process as increasing the charges. To upgrade the Manna Vessels, you need Forgotten Remembrances. This essentially adds a risk-reward situation to the upgrades, as you need to choose between increasing the flasks’ efficiency or capacity. However, by the end of the game, you usually get enough Forgotten Remembrances to max out the Manna Vessels.
