Blue Prince: How To Find Still Water

Find out how you can get your hands on some Still Water in Blue Prince. Our guide explores the steps you need to complete to get the item.

In Blue Prince, you’ll need access to a variety of in-game items to find certain puzzle clues and uncover all of the mysteries in the Mount Holly estate. And the game simply doesn’t hold your hand about which items you should get first and where to find them.

For instance, many players might not even know about Still Water or its purpose in the game. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can acquire Still Water in Blue Prince and why it’s an important item to have in your possession.

Where To Find Still Water in Blue Prince

Simply getting your hands on Still Water can take you several hours and in-game days. There are some prerequisites you need to complete before you can even set out in search of the item. Let’s take a look at what these requirements are.

• Get the crown from within the Throne Room.
• Solve the Coat of Arms puzzle.
• Use the Throne Room’s perk to draft eight consecutive blueprint rooms. This unseals the Blue Doors permanently.

After you have completed all of these steps, you’ll then need to get a Watering Can to hold the Still Water. You can purchase the Watering Can from the Commissary or trade other items for it at the Trading Post. Sometimes, the item can also drop when you draft Green Rooms, Toolshed, or the Lost and Found.

Regardless of how you get it, we suggest using a Coat Check room to store the Watering Can. This will make the item available to you in future runs whenever you draft the Coat Check room. Also, before you can store Still Water inside it, you need to empty the normal water already in it. You can go to any of the Green Rooms to empty the can.

Once you have the Watering Can, go to the Trading Post and follow the steps mentioned below to get Still Water.

• Step 1: Create Burning Glass by mixing a Metal Detector and a Magnifying Glass.
• Step 2: Find the dynamite inside the Trading Post.
• Step 3: Use the Burning Glass to light the fuse of the dynamite and step back.

The resulting explosion will reveal the secret Distillery Room in the Trading Post. This is where you can find Still Water. Use the empty watering can to fill it up with this special water.

How To Use Still Water in Blue Prince

After solving the Coat of Arms puzzle, you’ll get the following message: “Still Water tints blank books.” This shows that you need Still Water in Blue Prince to reveal secret writings inside books that seem to be blank when they’re seen normally.

Now, ask yourself, where can you find a lot of books, both blank and otherwise? The answer is the Library. So, draft the Library if the room isn’t already available in your current run. Then, go to the room with the Still Water in your Watering Can. Find the two blank books here and interact with them to reveal their secret messages.
