Where To Find the Axe in Blue Prince?
The Axe is only available at the Armory, where it may appear as one of the items for sale. The inventory in the Armory changes with each run, and you can purchase the Axe for 32 Coins if it is listed there. Although the Axe is costly, it is a worthy investment due to its game-changing effect.
The Armory is a special room in Blue Prince that sells weapons and armor. However, the room won’t appear in your drafting pool by default. To make it appear in your drafting pool, you need to complete the chess puzzle at the Underground Precipice and choose the power of Knight. It provides the Mantle of the Knight effect, which adds the Armory to your draft pool. You can also purchase other items like the Self-Igniting Torch, Morning Star, and Knight’s Shield at the Armory.

How To Use the Axe in Blue Prince
The Axe is one of the most powerful items in Blue Prince overall. It is used to remove the Gem cost of a room forever. To use the item:
- Open your Room Directory.
- Choose the room you want to eliminate the Gem cost from.
- While viewing the Room description, you will find the Axe icon in the lower-right corner.
- Click the Axe to use it on the room, which marks the Gem cost as ‘Axed’.
Given its importance, the Axe has only limited use in your playthrough. So, make sure to choose wisely before using the Axe on a room. Prioritize rooms you draft often or the more valuable ones. Generally, Trophy Room, Throne Room, Vault, Attic, Passageway, Rotunda, and Cloister are some of the ideal choices.
