Before you start, remember not to attack the creature head-on. These bovine animals are quite strong, and one headbutt would set you back by quite some HP. Moreover, conceding a head-on attack will stun you. Try to maintain a healthy distance during the initial phase of the taming process.

You will require a Tranquilizer Gun for this task. Fire away at the gigantic bovine creature until it falls asleep. Like any other taming process, you must have food on you. They eat vegetables, berries, and Kibble.

The following are some tips for the taming process:

  1. Feeding Superior Kibble during taming will speed up the process.
  2. As obvious as it sounds, to produce milk, you require both the Male and the Female beasts. The baby will appear after breeding.
  3. Baby Giant Bison only drink Milk.
  4. You must have the baby of the female Giant Bison near her if you wish to obtain Milk from her. The process has a cooldown of fifteen minutes.
  5. If your character consumes milk, it will double the time of other food buffs, e.g., the buff you get from Focal Chilli or Fria Curry.
  6. The attack pattern of these creatures depends on their head stance. If the head is up, the Bison performs regular headbutts. If the head is down during the attack, smaller opponents will be flung into the air.
  7. A pack of Giant Bison in the wild will have a maximum of six members. However, they have a pack bonus. You must move your target animal away from the pack if you want to tame it.
