Ark Survival Ascended has launched Ragnarok, a brand new map, as part of its Ark Ragnarok Ascended expansion. This expansion brings all you know about The Island and Scorched Earth and condenses it into a massive 144 square kilometers Norse-inspired realm.
While the map may be new, your gameplay loop stays fairly the same. You’ll be doing a ton of scavenging, and if you wish to craft a good chunk of what Ragnarok has to offer, you’ll need metal.
Finding metal in Ark Ragnarok Ascended is no easy task, especially when dangerous creatures lurk about at every corner. The expansion brings in tons of new dangers, and even a single misstep could mean death. Despite that, you can’t afford to skip the resource since it’s essential for crafting several items.
Thankfully, there are two locations in the game where you can farm metal reliably and safely, letting you indulge in the game’s scavenging-crafting loop in comfort.

Where To Find Metal in Ark Ragnarok Ascended

The first area where to find metal in Ark Ragnarok Ascended is at coordinate (22,75). As you approach these coordinates, you’ll find vast green fields to explore. Surrounding these vast green fields are large cone-shaped mountains. Don’t worry, as there are no creatures nearby. This area is safe, and you can explore it freely. Approach the base of these cone-shaped mountains, and you’ll find several metal ores. Use your pickaxe, and you can then mine these ores to obtain metal.
Additionally, the other area where you can reliably farm metal is at (82,26). There’s a coast alongside this area. As you go about exploring this coast, you’ll find an entrance to a cave. Enter this cave and you’ll then find dozens of metal ores. Once again, use your pickaxe and hack away at the ores to mine them and obtain metal.
