The Sakuru Woods, sometimes referred to as Sakura Woods, is a location that you can unlock during the Kitsune story quest. This area is a hidden enclave found deep in Teshio Ridge. Due to the nature of the terrain and weather conditions in this area, it can be a bit difficult to reach.

However, Sakuru Woods contains various quests and challenges, like the Crimson Kimono Mythic Tale and the Nine Tales Puzzle Box. With that said, here is a guide on how you can reach Sakuru Woods in Ghost of Yotei and points of interest you need to check out.

How To Reach Sakuru Woods in Ghost of Yotei

To unlock this area, you must first finish The Kitsune quest. This will unlock Teshio Ridge. Once you do, head to the center part of the ridge. Simply follow the game’s story campaign and you will unlock the area naturally.

Make sure you prepare for your travel by equipping resistance charms and health supplies. Refer to the location marked by a red circle on the map above for the exact location of Sakuru Woods in Ghost of Yotei.

Sakuru Woods is not that big and features a few interesting areas you can check out. Here is a quick rundown of all the points of interest:

Mother Daughter Tree

Making your way far to the west side of the woods, you can encounter the Mother Daughter Tree, which will start the Crimson Kimono Mythic Tale. Speak with Ugetsu, the storyteller, to begin the quest. Completing this will reward you with the Crimson Kimono armor.

Nine Tails Puzzle Box

One of the 12 Nine Tails puzzle boxes is found in Sakuru Woods. Head to the marked location on the map above. Find a wooden shelter in the area where you can find some dead bodies.

Speaking with the Land Trophy

The next point of interest is an area you need to visit to complete the Speaking with the Land Trophy. Head northwest of the grove and make your way to the middle of a lake. You will spot a post with a bowing sign. Approach this spot and swipe down on your touchpad to do a bow.
