How to Get Jhannyl’s Gloves in BG3? Explained
To get Jhannyl’s Gloves in Baldur’s Gate 3 will require making the tough story choice to betray and kill Isobel at some point in Act 2. That is the only way to get this pair of gloves, as they cannot be pickpocketed. Such a choice will obviously have major consequences for the Act 2 story and those taking shelter at the Last Light Inn. Most, if not all of the inhabitants there die and you will likely loose NPCs like Dammon, and therefore miss out on the gear he sells in Act 3. Jaheira is also at risk here, though she can be deceived through dialogue checks, if you are hoping to recruit her to your party.
To find the Last Light Inn, you’ll need to head to the northern most point of the Shadow-Cursed Lands. You’ll have to convince Jaheira that you mean no harm the first time you try to enter. At this same point a man named Flaming Fist Marcus may speak up on your behalf. You can choose to reveal his treachery or not. Once you are free to move around, you can find Isobel by going into the Inn and taking the stairs on the far left to get up to the second floor. Isobel’s Room is around on the other side of the landing. The first time you visit, she may be in her rooms or she may be outside on a balcony.
Betraying Isobel in Baldur’s Gate 3
You do not have to betray her on this first visit. Either the first time you visit her, or possibly the second, Flaming Fist Marcus will likely come back while you’re speaking to her and attempt to kidnap her. You’ll again have the opportunity to choose to side with him or with Isobel. Fighting and defeating Marcus will get you the Shifting Corpus Ring, which is a nice accessory. Even once he’s been defeated, you can still chose to later attack and kill Isobel yourself.
Once killed, however, I still could not officially loot her body. Something came to the Inn and flew away with her. Then the Inn’s protection comes crashing down and you must deal with that. What about the Gloves?
When you’re ready you have to continue to follow the main Act 2 storyline quest. Visit (or return to) Moonrise Towers and climb the stairs to fight the final Act 2 boss. Isobel will be there, brought back to life by dark forces. Defeat her again, and this time you can successfully loot Jhannyl’s Gloves.
How to Use Jhannyl’s Gloves in BG3?
The best way to use Jhannyl’s Gloves is by equipping them to any class or character you feel needs the additional protection from Blinded, Paralysed or Poisoned conditions. Because these gloves are cloth, they do not have any associated armour proficiency. Therefore, any class or companion could wear them and get the survivability boost that they offer.
Tips and Tricks for Jhannyl’s Gloves in BG3

- You can kill Isobel yourself at the Light Light Inn, or let Marcus kidnap her. She will then appear at the climax battle of the game alongside her father, and you can get the gloves then.
- When Isobel is gone from the Last Light Inn, the barrier protecting it will fall. Nearly everyone inside will die.
