This piece is tailor made for Bards, and wouldn’t benefit any other class, unless you are really hard up for Light Armour and just need the 11 AC. The main bonus on this piece is called Remedial Rhymes. When you inspire an ally using Bardic Inspiration, this perk will also grant you an addition 4 temporary hit points. This HP can either serve as a free heal or, if your hit points are full, will give you an additional 4 HP on top.

How to Get Blazer of Benevolence in BG3? Explained
To receive the Blazer of Benevolence in Baldur’s Gate 3 you will need to rescue the bard Volo from the Goblin Camp during the events of Act 1. If you’ve explored the map in early Act 1 and found the Druid/Emerald Grove area, you’ve likely already come across Volo trying to interview a bear in the Sacred Pool. You can interact with him there, but you won’t pick up the Rescue Volo quest until you encounter him at the Goblin Camp.
The Goblin camp can be found to the center-west of the Act 1 map of Baldur’s Gate 3. A handful of goblins guard the only entrance into this area and cannot be avoided. When you approach you’ll need to either convince them to let you pass or fight and defeat them all. If you have to fight and succeed in killing them, don’t worry about aggroing all of the other goblins in the camp farther on. Any goblins you encounter afterwards appear to assume that you have permission to be beyond the gate. Unless you start attacking them again, they’ll leave you be.
Find Volo in the Goblin Camp
After getting past the goblins at the gate, head to the right/north and across the bridge into the main courtyard area. There are lots of goblins all around, feasting and enjoying themselves. Directly ahead as you enter you’ll see Volo up on a platform at the very center, giving a less-than-stellar performance. Click to interact with him and play the dialogue scene out anyway you like. At the end, Volo will be taken away into the Shattered Sanctum and you’ll receive the Rescue Volo quest.
Next, you’ll need to make your way inside to the Shattered Sanctum, as well. Head north past all of the feasting tables and click on the large heavy oak doors. More goblin guards will stop you a little ways down the corridor inside. You can use Deception or Intimidation or even Detect Thoughts to get past them. Finally, you’ll be able to make your way into the large area of the Shattered Sanctum.
Find Volo in the Shattered Sanctum
From the end of the long corridor which lead into the Shattered Sanctum, turn right and head up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, turn left and walk all the way down to the end of the stone walkway. Stop before you head on to the wooden path. At the end, to the right should be an open doorway into a small room. You’ll find Volo locked inside a makeshift cage here. Click to speak with him and you’ll be interrupted by the goblin he ‘belongs’ to.
During this dialogue with the goblin Viskarra you’ll be able to use a Deception or Intimidation line to free Volo. Successfully doing so will require you to roll at least a 10 on the dice. Viskarra will then give you the key to the cage and leave the room. You can now open the cage and speak to Volo. He’ll profusely thank you and you should invite him to meet with you at your camp. Volo will then drink and Invisibility potion and leave.
The next time you go for a Long Rest (and you can do it immediately after freeing Volo if you like) the bard will be at your camp. Speak with him and you’ll talk about Illithids and your tadpole. When you exit the conversation, you’ll automatically receive the Blazer of Benevolence in your inventory!
How to Use the Blazer of Benevolence in BG3?
The best way to use the Blazer of Benevolence in Baldur’s Gate 3 is by equipping it to any character of the Bard class. Any class that is proficient in light armour can wear this and receive the 11 Armour Class protection. However, only Bards can trigger the Remedial Rhymes bonus passive.
Bardic Inspiration is a special class action only Bards can use to inspire allies and add a +1d6 bonus to their next Attack roll, Ability check, or Saving throw. Casting this while wearing the Blazer of Benevolence will give you Bard 4 temporary hit points, a decent boost to survivability in the early game.
Tips and Tricks for Blazer of Benevolence in BG3
