Blue Prince: All Microchip Location Guide

Microchips in Blue Prince play an essential role in revealing hidden aspects of the game. You must collect all three of them to unlock more than just bonus items. Here’s a detailed guide to help you locate every Microchip and maximize your in-game rewards.

All Microchip Locations in Blue Prince

First Microchip

Your first stop in the search for Microchips is the Blackbridge Grotto. You can only access this area after you solve the Laboratory Puzzle. Once inside the grotto, find a pedestal in the center. A Microchip rests there, but the pedestal suggests two microchips are missing.

Collect this first Microchip to get an exciting permanent perk: the ability to hack one offline terminal from another computer. This means you can access lab experiments from rooms like the Security Room or the Office without physically entering those areas during certain runs.

Second Microchip

To find the second Microchip in Blue Prince, look through the “A New Clue” book. Page 15 provides a visual hint. You will see a hammer positioned near a vase, and the surrounding details suggest that this scene takes place in the Entrance Hall.

Carry the Sledgehammer to the Entrance Hall. There, you will find two vases. Strike both. The left vase conceals your first missing Microchip. It might feel a little surprising, but sometimes destruction leads to discovery.

Third Microchip

Now shift your focus to page 6 of “A New Clue.” Words on this page hide tiny numbers. If you organize the words by these numbers, you will reveal a hidden message: “All checked corner case rooms had a low case clue found in the rooms.”

Once you understand this hint, turn back to page 5. Here, you will see a list of “corner case” rooms, with four rooms checked: The Patio, Nook, Office, and Pantry.

Visit each of these spaces. Search for notes inside them, paying attention to single words written in lowercase. These words link together to spell out another clue: “Buried beside west bridge.”

Take your Shovel to the bridge behind the West Gate. At the riverbank, you can dig up the second Microchip.

Purpose of the Microchips in Blue Prince

Once all three Microchips are returned to the pedestal in Blackbridge Grotto, a hidden path will unlock. This path leads you into the Orindian Ruins.

Inside the Ruins, you will find the blueprint for the Throne Room, a key piece that will support you in upcoming puzzles. Though this is a big step forward, it is not the only secret the Microchips help reveal.

Additional Use for Microchips

As you study “A New Clue,” you may notice something about a “Scorched Sundial.” This hint points you toward the Apple Orchard.

Take the Burning Glass to the Orchard. Use it at the base of the sundial to burn through and create an opening. Once exposed, rotate the sundial until a hidden compartment reveals itself. Place the Microchips here.

This action activates the Satellite Dish upgrade for your mansion. With this upgrade, you gain access to a fresh packet of lab experiments, expanding your available options significantly.
