There are simply so many different types of rooms in Blue Prince that it can take you quite a while to see all of them. For instance, many players might have no clue that there is a Bookshop that you can draft inside the Mount Holly manor. It’s a rare floor plan, and you can only draft it in one specific spot, which the game obviously doesn’t tell you. So, finding the Bookshop draft option on your own could take you days.

How Can You Unlock the Bookshop in Blue Prince?

To unlock the Bookshop, you’ll need to draft the Library first. The Library has only one exit, and that’s the only door in the entire estate where the Bookshop draft option pops up. However, keep in mind that the draft option won’t likely come up the first few times you try. Keep trying in following runs until you finally get the option to draft the Bookshop.

You will need a gem to unlock the room. It is a corner room with just one other exit. So, make sure you keep this in mind and do not lock yourself in for the rest of the day by drafting the room.

How To Use the Bookshop in Blue Prince

As the name suggests, the Bookshop has books for sale. You can buy these in exchange for gold coins. However, these aren’t normal books. Instead, each of the books hides clues to some of the trickiest puzzles that you run into while exploring the manor. Without the clues hidden in these books, it is almost impossible to progress through the puzzles in question.

Any of the books you purchase from the shop will become a permanent addition to the Library. So, even in future runs, you can still take a glance at the books as long as you have access to the Library. The books available for purchase can range in cost between 8 and 50 gold coins.
