Can players go fishing in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? Learn all about this feature and whether it is possible to do it.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has certain “fishing spots” on the map that you can find by stumbling upon them, through a POI Tipster, or by overhearing a conversation. But can you even go fishing in the game? Since we have fishing spots, it would make sense for Henry to be able to fish. But things are not that simple in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Despite having fishing spots marked on your map even under Legends, Henry cannot fish. So, what are those spots for? Unfortunately, these spots are useless for the most part and lack a true purpose. Players will usually find a few nets, a stool, and drying racks here. I have not yet been able to discover what these are used for. All I know is that you can’t fish because Henry confesses how he never learned the art of fishing. The involvement of these spots suggests that the game could introduce this activity eventually with an update. However, so far, players will have to grind other ways of income and sustenance to survive in this game.
How To Make an Honest Living Besides Fishing in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
There are many ways to make money in KCD 2 when you are just starting off in the game. Players can play Dice to test out their luck, complete Side Quests to have some fun, and even join Fight Clubs to push their combat skills to new limits. There is no one specific way to fill your empty wallet in this game, and that’s what makes it so good. However, all the mentioned activities come with their own risks.
Dice is a gamble that you can very well lose. In fact, in my experience, I always lose when I bet more Groschen on that specific game. Fight Clubs have dangers involved and Side Quests can be time-consuming. The latter two also require you to rest and are mostly time-bound, meaning you can’t compete/complete them at specific times of the day. So, what do you do to earn an honest living without much hassle?
I have found that the best way to earn in KCD 2 is by becoming a Herbalist/Potion Maker. This makes for an honest living and also lets you refrain from a life of crime in the Bohemian lands. It is a much more peaceful life to lead while also making decent money. Until you find a better source of income to rely on, I suggest making potions and selling them to the nearest merchants. You can use the workshop at Bozhena’s and sell the crafted potions to the merchant in Troskowitz.
