As an RPG of sorts, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has ample Side Quests for the player base to explore. However, if you don’t know where you should be looking, you might end up with an empty journal instead. But would that be all that bad? Honestly, yes.

Taking on Side Quests in the game will allow you to level up, unlock better gear, more quests, and hone your skills to build Henry exactly how you want him to be. So, taking on Side Quests is just as crucial as completing your Main Quests in this medieval drama.

Once you unlock a Side Quest, you can easily access it in two ways. First, you can simply open the map using up on the D-pad on a console. Even if you are zoomed in on an area, the map will show you different markers. Follow those markers to get to the place where that quest is supposed to be.

Players who want more details on a Side Quest can also select the tab next to the map. By accessing your journal, you can then scroll sideways to your Side Quests section and select each of them to read more about them. This will help you uncover more information or recover bits that you may have missed while playing.

Whenever you open a map or take a look at the compass on top of your screen while playing, you may find an icon that has a white banner with a blue exclamation mark in the middle. This is the icon for a Quest Tipster. It is through these Tipsters that you will find new quests to fill up your journal. You can do most of the quests at your leisure because they don’t tend to have a timer on them (at least not as far as I know).

Not all quests come from a Tipster, however. You can also find them via conversations. For example, during the Troskowitz section early on in the game, you will find a Side Quest to Find Mutt. This is not obtained through a Tipster but rather through a conversation. My guess is that the quests obtained through a conversation are the ones directly related to the main story.

Note that the yellow icon with the white exclamation mark is a POI Tipster. These can be merchants and guards. Don’t interact with them like you usually would. Instead, walk up to them and press the interaction button to talk to them instead. They will then reveal a Point of Interest that you can look out for to gather some interesting loot.
