Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 puts immersion front and center, allowing you to get lost in a 15th-century Europe rife with turmoil. The game goes a step beyond immersion with its realistic combat, hunting, cooking, and other mechanics. Cooking, especially, is an integral part of the game and gives you a glimpse of what life was like at the time. The dishes are nothing like the Michelin-star delicacies we see these days, and something as simple as honey is worthy of a feast.

Honey is also one of the harder resources to get in the game. You can eat it individually or use it as an ingredient for cooking. Honey grants 31 Nourishment and 1 Energy, all while weighing a mere 0.8. This is one of the best resources in the game, and if you’re stuck finding this ever-elusive item, we are here to help. In this guide, we shall go over how to get honey in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

How To Get Honey in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Purchase Honey

You can get honey in the game in multiple ways. The first of these ways is the easy way, where you purchase the honey directly from the merchant trader Jurg Thomel. Thomel is on the northern end of the map and is first encountered in Troskowitz in Trosky early in the game.

Follow the path down north on the main road in Troskowitz, and you will run into this merchant. Head over to the merchant and talk to him. Interacting with the merchant will bring up a menu that displays his inventory. Scroll down through the inventory and head into the “Foods” subsection to find honey. You can then purchase honey for 2.8 groschen per unit.

Obtain As Loot

If you’re tight on money or would rather spend it elsewhere, you can find honey by exploring the map. While exploring, you will stumble across beehives, which you can then loot to obtain honey. Alternatively, you can also find honey as regular loot within huts and sheds in the game. You also find honey as loot within Farmer Smil’s supplies in the Spoils of War quest in the game. However, obtaining honey as loot is heavily reliant on RNG, and we would recommend purchasing it instead.
