Don’t know how to use a Torch in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? Let’s teach you the simplest way of finding, equipping, and using one.
Torch is an important tool that Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 players can use on various occasions. Since this is the second installment in the franchise, the game can be a little harsh to newcomers by not telling them about a few basics. So, if you are somebody who is confused and can’t figure out how to use that Torch in your inventory, you have come to the right place.
You may need to use a Torch for a few reasons in this game. For example, if you roam around a respectful settlement at night and don’t have a torch equipped, the guards will assume that you are up to no good if you are not using your Torch to get around. It can also be pretty useful when just exploring the wilderness at night or looting a dark cavern.
Note the following steps if you wish to use that torch:
- Open the inventory and scroll down until you find the Other Weapons section. Your Torch(es) will be stored here.
- Make sure you have the right Outfit equipped. You can change it using Triangle/Y on PlayStation and Xbox, respectively.
- Select the Torch and it will automatically assign itself the selected Outfit, and you can see it beneath your boots on the gear window on the right.
- Now that you have it equipped, exit the inventory and take it in your hand by pressing/holding the R key on PC or holding down on the D-pad on PlayStation/Xbox.

How To Obtain a Torch in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
If you wish to be a law-abiding fellow and don’t want to attract unnecessary attention to yourself, then you must try your best to obtain a Torch in the most legal way possible. This means that you must not steal from people or kill innocents to loot this item from them.
The best bet in this case would be to visit a Tavern (there is one in Troskowitz) and talk to the keeper there. Chances are, they will most likely have a Torch that you can buy. However, if you don’t want to spend money on this item, you can simply fight the enemies and then loot them to find at least one Torch. This way, you will be defending yourself, and there will be no violation of the Christian law that the game follows.
Players who are just starting off the game will find that they can also loot a torch or two from the brute’s dead body that is lying in the garden of Herbwoman Bozhena. That is how I got my first Torch in the game. He also has some food items that you may find useful. Make sure to loot him thoroughly before burying him as part of a quest objective.
