How To Start the Arrow of Extrication Quest in Oblivion Remastered
There are certain prerequisites that you must fulfill to access the quests. You must have fenced 700 Gold with the Thieves Guild. Once you meet the criterion, head to the Imperial City’s Waterfront District to get the quest details from Amusei. Next, visit Gray Fox in Malintus Ancrus’s House in Chorrol to begin the quest.
Locating the Secret Pathway at Bravil’s Castle
To head further into the Arrow of Extraction quest, you must arrive at Bravil. Once there, talk to any beggar and collect intel about Fathis Aren. Next, you will learn that the target is inside a room in the castle’s north wing.
When you arrive there, you will spot two guards standing outside the door. Wait until morning when the shifts of these guards change, then enter the room. Head left to arrive in front of a closed wooden door. Use lockpicks to open it, and you will find two chests inside. Although there is no significant loot in these chests. Now, you might feel stuck with no visible exits. However, if you move near the pillar on your left, it will expose a secret pathway to Fathis Aren’s Tower.

Reaching Fathis Aren’s Tower
You should bring a water-breathing potion to cross the next section. Continue through the cave and eliminate any enemies you encounter. Soon, you will reach the front of a body of water. Dive underwater and take the cave to the right. After reaching an intersection, take the left exit to arrive at the tower.
Collecting the Arrow of Extrication
Once you are at the tower, make your way to the top. You will need to eliminate several enemies along the way. Once at the top, drop down a floor to locate a room with Fathis Aren working with some chemicals. Also, you should avoid killing him, as he is not hostile. Instead, collect the Arrow of Extrication from the chest. Afterward, fast travel to Malintus Ancrus’s House in Chorrol and hand it over to receive the following rewards:

- Master Thief Rank in the Thieves Guild
