Shrines provide divine protection. In this guide, we have explained everything you need to know about shrines in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is one of the most realistic RPGs of all time. In this game, the developers have added many small details that can make your journey through 15th-century Bohemia much easier. One of these additions is Shrines which you can find all across the map.
Shrines are structures where Henry can pray with the right skill. Praying provides powerful buffs that can immensely help during battles. In this guide, we have explained all you need to know about shrines in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
How To Pray at Shrines in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

You can find shrines all across Bohemia while traveling. These are small stone structures with decorations such as beads and crosses. Once you spot a shrine, it gets added on the minimap—with a small icon for you to easily find it later. Shrines do not have any purpose until you unlock one specific perk for Henry.
Additionally, you have to unlock the Fundamentals of Theology perk under the scholarship section of skills. Obtaining this perk finally allows Henry to be able to pray at shrines and receive benefits from doing so. You can unlock this skill at level 14, but it requires the Liberal Arts perk from the Scholarship skills. Furthermore, you can unlock Fundamentals of Theology II to get more effects and double the duration of the buff you get from praying.
What Do You Get by Praying at Shrines?
Praying at shrines gives you a long-lasting buff that provides divine protection for one time during battles. The buff that you get by praying at a shrine protects Henry from a mortal wound during battle and instead heals him for 25% of his health. This buff stays on for twelve in-game hours or until you use it once in battle. The buff is refreshable, and all you need to do is pray at a shrine once again.
By obtaining the Fundamentals of Theology II perk, you can extend the buff duration up to twenty-four in-game hours. The best way to get this perk quickly is to buy and read books from vendors and make historical discoveries all around Bohemia to increase your scholarship skill level.
