This is something I haven’t seen in a while because the last couple of RPGs didn’t have that many consequences besides Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While Avowed on the surface is a game that appears to be very simple and streamlined, some decisions can make a difference. In the first zone, there’s a quest at the shanked town where you essentially do a thing where you need to jump around and look for the different tokens.
You can bring it back to the NPC who requires you to get the quest. Now, once you complete the quest, you’re faced with the choice to give it to him or keep it. This is the prime example of this, like in the play where you specifically kept it to get an amulet. If you choose to give it to him, you will get another type of amulet that gives you the ability to gain additional coins whenever you pen the chest. The decisions that you make in the game can influence the changes in the world. It can influence the story or make the game different in some ways. Just keep in mind that your decisions do matter in this game, and they will impact how things progress.

Ponents rotten food is grim, but even Grim has a purpose in Avowed. Weapons work in a tier system in Avowed. You will have a tier 1 weapon going up into tier 2, and then eventually, when you go into the further areas, you go from tier 2 to tier 3. You have weapons like common quality weapons at tier one. Essentially, you need to almost match the weapon that you’re using with the tier of the enemy you’re fighting. While fighting with the tier 2 enemy, you need to be using a weapon that is at least tier 2 or higher to get all of your actual correct damage Buffs.
This allows you to make these fights a lot easier. If you’re fighting an enemy that shows level two, you want to have a tier-quality or fine-quality weapon. Once you start seeing tier three tier four enemies, you want to make sure you have the same quality gear for that area. If not, go get material to upgrade your gear or go to a merchant and buy that upgraded piece. Make sure you’re using the correct weapons for your area otherwise, you’re going to struggle, wondering why you’re doing zero damage.

Thinking about it, the ranger skill tree has a lot of skills and passives that maximize your survival skills and foraging abilities, making them useful for pretty much any player.
