The Ocean’s Grip is a reward for assassinating the Pirate Lopo in the Pirate’s Alliance side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The Pirate Alliance quest sees you hunting down a band of outlaws who have constantly been raiding and pillaging parts of coastal Wakasa. 

You begin this quest by picking it up from the notice board at Sotomo Gate. Alternatively, you get it by talking to the Biwa Master, who will notify you of the pirates’ threats. Once the quest is in your log, you can then see the targets you need to assassinate. Track Lopo Cruz from the list and head to Nairu’s Lair off the coast of northern Wakasa to find him.
